I hid all my previous posts after an encounter with a creepy person -- I was concerned about pics of my family being visible, hence, I took them down!
Today I would like to say that I love my city. This morning I had no fewer than five people help me out when I went to breakfast with the baby. As a mother of three, going to breakfast with just baby is a picnic so I wasn't really looking for help. But one man jumped up and held the door as we approached the restaurant, a nice lady offered to help with my coffee, a friendly grandpa chatted with me about baby and his own two-year-old grandson, a nice younger man returned my high chair back to the storage location when we were done eating, and another mom held the door for me as we left. At the paint store the clerk carried my purchases out to the car. Seriously?!? I love living in a city where people are friendly, decent, and thoughtful. It really made my morning.
A few scenes from life right now:
Trucks are everywhere! Little #2 loves, loves, loves trucks. While I work in the yard, Little helps out down at the big construction site. There, the tough trucks work with all their might, etc. (He loves "Goodnight, Goodnight, Construction Site" -- great book!)
Me and my flower beds. Here is what my bed looked like four weeks ago. The seasons are changing here, though -- this morning we even had a little snow! Thankfully, all my sweet boys (ahem, my sweet husband), planted my 600 tulip bulbs for me. 600 is restraint. I wanted 2000, but the price tag held me back. Anyway, the colors for this spring are yellow. Can't wait to show them!
Here are last year's white tulips:
Love!
